Allaah – the Lord of the Worlds – said, “And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the wrath and the curse of Allaah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him.” [Sooratun-Nisaa‘ 4:93]
Shaykh Ibnul-‘Uthaymeen– rahimahullaah advised the people: So my advice to you is that you put down the weapons and to establish peace and to answer what the government calls for from peace and benefit. Thereby the community can reach mutual understanding and rule by the Book and the Sunnah. This is something in which there will be much goodness and avoidance of fitan (trials, tribulations) and fighting. I mean that putting down
the weapons and attempting to establish peace is obligatory upon the masses.
The shaykh is a senior lecturer and professor in the department of “al-Kitaab and the Sunnah” in the Faculty of Da’wah and Usool-ud-Deen and the Shaykh also holds a teaching chair in al-Masjid al-Haraam, with authorization attained from the “General Director of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah”
